Three of our candidates lost with just under 200 votes. ✅ We laid the groundwork for our future fights to ensure everyone has access to opportunity. ✅We had an 78% win rate and defeated the right’s attempts to divide our communities based on what we look like, and where we call home. ✅We contacted over 18,000 voters this election. ✅We connected BIPOC candidates across the state to a variety of resources. ✅Endorsed 28 BIPOC candidates this election. ✅Over 90 BIPOC candidates ran for office this election. ![]() Join us in celebrating our communities’ wins and congratulating everyone who ran and participated in this election. We worked to meet BIPOC leaders where they are at in their life cycle of leadership to: equip them with tools for building transformational power and support them throughout the election.īy joining together and speaking up in this local election, we are making our schools and local communities places where each child belongs and can thrive, and helping to create a state where we respect and support each other across our differences. Throughout this election, we mitigated barriers on the campaign trail for candidates. We elected leaders who will invest in and support our communities’ futures. We were proud to support leaders who are of and for our communities leaders who will ensure that our stories are taught in schools, and not dismissed on permission slips. Oregonians across the state showed up for all our students across place, race, and party this election.
